Integrative, body focused therapist specialised in trauma
My name is Soetkin Claes. I work as an integrative and holistic therapist with a special focus on the connection between mind and body, trauma and addiction. I obtained a professional bachelor’s degree in family sciences and followed various training courses to become a body-oriented therapist from an integrative framework. I am inspired by inner child work, embodied movement, emotional release tools, internal family system, somatic experiencing, touch, mentalization, Zenthai Shiatsu, Innerdance…
Recently I added Kundalini Bodywork and de-armouring to my practice. I am very fascinated by this work and see the positive effects on people.
In addition to my independent practice, I work in addiction care. I support women who struggle with substance use and do sex work. I mainly focus on being present and harm reduction.
I have also done a lot of work on a personal level and will keep on doing so. I keep challenging myself, rediscovering and growing because I think that if you want to hold space for othets, thats even more important.
I’ve already gained some experience but I want to work from a place of not knowing. From searching, discovering and growing together. Because everyone is different and because there is so much beauty in seeking and discovering for yourself. I want to create a supportive space and shine my light so you can find your own way.
